Trying to “keep up”

I hope you are taking some time to get quiet and self-reflect today. I think we get so caught up in trying to “keep up” and perform, that we often forget to check in with ourselves. When we lose our internal compass we can start to spiral and feel “lost”. I know this is definitely true for me. I used to always feel as though I was trying to “keep up” and not focusing on what I needed.

I did a journal prompt lately that gave me so much clarity and I want to share it with you.

How have I been approaching obstacles? 

How have I been responding to adversity?

How willing have I been able to accept and adapt?

How quickly have I been able to process and progress?

Am I pleased with my performance? Why, AND why not?

Motivated Morning

Then, we must remember, God is after our HEARTS not our performance. So, with that, here are a couple of other questions to consider…

How has my heart changed recently?

How has my mind changed?

What is the most important lesson God has taught me so far this year? 

How have I found myself more through faith?

How does God want me to continue developing our relationship ? 

These are not always easy to answer, but I believe if you sit with them in a quiet space, God will reveal the messages He wants you to take away. 

Lastly, I just want to say I am so grateful for YOUR support and presence on this account. I am blessed by all of your messages and knowing we are all working to grow stronger in our faith and walk with God. Every time you share or reply to these posts with a heart, a prayer request, or screenshot of your daily worship/journal it is truly a blessing.
