It’s really us against ourselves most of the time … we often try to motivate ourselves with fear, judgment, and criticism. But how does using fear as motivation work out for us?
I know when I was on my weight loss journey,
before I shifted from self criticism to self compassion,
a lot of what I experienced as my “reality” was in fact what I chose to think about it.
and the simplicity of that frustrated me.
because I had to accept that, literally, the one thing keeping me from the freedom and happiness I have now were my thoughts.
here I was trying to build a booty, and I needed to be building my BRAIN.
wherever you are in your journey, if you’re struggling with confidence and motivation around your wellness goals,
I challenge you to journal on some of these affirmations over the next few weeks, and share with a loved one who may appreciate as well.
