How To Stay Consistent On Your Weight Loss Journey

“Consistency is key”. Yeah, I know you’ve heard that one before. But why can it be so hard to stay consistent when trying to reach our goals?

I’m often asked:

“Why am I great one week and then back to old habits the next?”

“Why can’t I stick with (x) longer than a week”??

Y’all know the deal with “progress over perfection”, and maybe even have similar quotes on your vision board… yet you STILL struggle to actually put it into practice.

Motivated Morning

To put it simply:

We aren’t what we do from time to time. We are what we do day in and day out.

And to be honest, it’s not actually that hard. (sorry)

It comes down to PATIENCE, actually ENJOYING the process and choosing ACTION over information-gathering.

Consistency isn’t something that’s going to be “hard” forever – because gal, once you start seeing those results, you’ll WANT to keep going. It’ll soon become second nature!

Y’all just gotta TRUST and HAVE FUN.

8 Tips For Staying Consistent On Your Weight Loss Journey:

  • Choose healthy foods/meals you actually like, instead of copying what others are eating.
  • Stick to a workout schedule you KNOW you can keep, even if it isn’t as ‘intense’ as you think it should be.
  • Set realistic goals and expectations.
  • Check progress weekly or monthly instead of daily. Value progress over perfection.
  • Keep moving forward, even if you make a mistake.
  • Prep, prep, prep! Bulk cook & lay gym clothes out the night before.
  • Place post-it-note reminders around your house.
  • Don’t over-complicate things. Keep it simple and SUSTAINABLE.
