I know the holidays are supposed to be some of the “happiest” times of the year.
But the truth is, some of us may be in a really scary headspace right now. The thought of reflection may not be the funnest idea at this moment.
The holidays/new year can magnify your shortcomings; the stuff you didn’t accomplish, the stuff you still need to do, and the things that are still holding you back.
That’s some hard tension to sit with. Especially when you hear and see others all pumped about all their aspirations and “big plans” for 2023- and some of us are just over here trying to make it through the rest of 2022. Trust me, I have been there (still somewhat there)- so, I feel you.
On top of that, if your health is not where it needs to be, you lilkely have low energy, you’re more stressed than ever, and all of that weight (emotional and physical) seems to be creeping on.
Secretly, you are now dreading that New Years Eve party you committed to because deep down, you know what you REALLY need to is get your ‘ish together and start fresh (preferabbly without another hangover).
Sigh. You just can’t seem to catch up. You need a complete do-over don’t you babe?
Advice? Let’s do a quick recap and reflection of 2022 so we can start thinking about the changes you want to make NOW to carry into 2023 (do NOT wait until Jan 1st) TRUST ME.
