The truth is SO MANY of the things you think are out of reach are actually very much within your control.
-Thoughts, beliefs, attitudes
–Time management, personal routine
-Keeping clean spaces
-Who you socialize with
-How you spend your free time
However, if you notice you are not able to implement or maintain the basic fundamentals of daily wellness, then sister, it’s time to surrender to a season of support.
And can I tell you, there is NOTHING wrong with admitting that.
One of the hardest things as a coach is to watch you continue to stubbornly struggle, instead of receiving the relief I can immediately provide you with.
One more thing you can control towards your weight management…
It’s your inability to accept guidance and remove yourself from the problematic environments that keep you “stuck”.
That’s ultimately where mentorship and accountability intervene and produce lasting behavioral transformations. There’s not really any “secret”, “hack”, or “magic” here- just good ole boring behaviroal science.
But hey, I totally get it. You’re still going to keep doing things on your terms. Most of my initially resistant clients are masterful at ignoring those internal nudges.
You get right up the point of asking for help, and then your brain slaps one of your default excuses across your awareness barrier to distract you from the uncertainty of change.
In fact, if I know you well, you probably go through this bargaining cycle anywhere from 3 to 6 months with almost ANYthing before you take action- and that’s ok too!
You have to get to your unique turning point before your mind, body, and heart are all headed in the right direction.
Only you know when you reach those crossroads, and when you do- I am right here with the map.
