Addressing the Elephant in the Room, Ourselves | LRD Academy

There’s a lot of talk about health and wellness out there. Everywhere you look, people are extolling the virtues of eating right, exercising, and getting enough sleep. And while all of those things are important, there’s one thing that we often don’t talk about enough: being honest with ourselves. So today, I want to address the elephant in the room and talk about some of the things we may not be so proud of. Let’s be honest with each other – we’re all human after all! So let’s embrace our imperfections and move on from there. By being truthful with ourselves, we can work on becoming healthier – both physically and mentally. Are you ready to face the truth? Then let’s get started!

-Take that one critical habit pattern (action or thought) you have been meaning to change and get ready to commit this month to working on it.

Not sure what it could be? Here are some questions to help you identify and clarify
-Is there a thought loop or reoccurring emotion cycle you’re noticing?
-Is there a relationship boundary that needs to be established?
-Is there a secret behavior you are still using to cope with when things get really hard?
-Is there a pattern you are getting stuck in right before bed that keeps you from going to sleep on time?

Your HW: Think about what this ONE thing you are going to laser focus on this month and bring it to next week’s training. Really observe your behaviors around this habit pattern this week so you can gather as much info as you need to help create your plan of action.

Think: triggers, environments, sensations… try to clue in on anything and everything that formulates this habit into action
